Books For Change

Books For Change
Description Of The Project

Books For Change was the very first project initiated by the Founders of Touch A Life, even before Touch A Life was established. With an under 30% attendance ratio in Secondary Education of the poorest 20% and with the lack of financial support to education from grade 8 and onwards, children in Maharashtra are deprived of their right to education. We believe that books are the doorway to a world of knowledge and power.
A new aspect in our project is the use of tremendous technology in the system by bringing entire system over the ERP, so that we can carry out entire activity in a coordinated manner. When we showcased our technology with Mr. Kent Wong of Chow Tai Fook, he was impressed with the same and he happily accepted our invitation to become our corporate partner for Books for Change 2019.
Kent Wong puts forward his comment as follows:
“Upholding the spirit of “Do Good Feel Good”, we share Touch A Life’s belief in empowering children towards the betterment of the society. We truly hope that our support on “Books for Change” can serve as an encouragement to the underprivileged children and youths in India to pursue their dreams”

Objective Of The Project

The project has elicited huge support from the tribal and backward areas. The people around the place has been appreciating our effort of getting students equipped with studies for the betterment of their future. All these responses are forcing us this year to do something new for the sake of students of remote areas.

Our project ensures a strict adherence to the principals of Accountability, Responsibility, Transparency and Traceability. Each and every activity of our foundation are recorded to its root. We make sure that with the support of technology each of our function are easily identifiable.
